I started this project with a ready made tank top from Chico’s and then decided to add some color. I sandwiched fiber strips ( feels like wooly nylon) between sheets of water soluable stabilizer. I then sewed a grid pattern every 1/2 inch. After dissolving the stabilizer in water and letting the fabric dry, I cut the fabric into the bodice pattern. I then hand sewed the neckline and armholes using the fiber strips as bias trim. Though a bit time consuming I really like the results.
