The article in Threads issue 144 “Well Vested” gave me some new vision. I noticed that as there was no facing my piece of rayon that was the same on both sides would work. It turned out to be a great summer flowing floating jacket. I will post another photo of the jacket hanging open…that is my favorite way to wear it. I will try it in chiffon next. I may need to add tiny cord ties to the front to keep it on my shoulders. The more I think about this pattern the more I realize the many applications that would work. Doubling linen (to give body for a more substantive jacket) would work beautifully. Raw edges would give it the same feel as the vests in the article. I have a piece of silver metallic cotton that I will make for a formal event this fall. I think it will be stunning. I will double the front and use silk organza as a secolnd layer for the remainder. That will help with the wrinkle issue and give the cotton some body.

Karen, I didn't pay much attention to the Well Vested article in Issue No. 144 -- but your beautiful jacket has inspired me to go back and take a second look. Thanks for sharing.
