quilting

recycled denim patchwork

Quilt made from recycled jeans interspersed with music themed fabrics.  Used as leg warmer at recent Seattle SeaHawks game.  Had forgotten I’d made it for a birthday gift for my grandson at least 6 years ago!  Had stamped each denim piece with rubber stamps dipped in dishwashing solution.

I'm so jealous of all the wonderful shops/products that are available to you all in America, it's difficult to even buy good sewing thread or material locally. I'm just about to start an online millinery qualification, just retiring from being a midwife for many years and now a new direction. I live in South Wales (UK) and not many people seem to sew around here.
