What’s more frightening than a jellyfish?  All right, there’re tons of things more frightful than jelly fish, but this jelly fish has glow in the dark fangs, loads of sparkle fabric and even a few sea shells.  I designed the hat around an old straw hat.  It’s wrapped in bubble wrap and then covered in Twinkle Organza.  The idea came from Family Fun magazine.  I found matching wired organza ribbon for the tentacles and added some metalic rick-a-rack.  My daughter wanted a dress that looked like the ocean so I scrambled to draft a Burda 9655 into a larger size.  She picked a light blue Tissue Lame.  To make it more flowing, I attached trangles of Sparkle Tulle in two colors along with some of the organza to the dress.  We then had the problem of static causing the “waves” to cling to her arms (no fun), so I attached them together at their tips with shells from an old necklace.  THAT wasn’t enough so they got weighed down with fake pearls.  All this emblishing was done last minute. Phew!  The jelly fish was finally ready for Halloween!
