Thanks for your comment - the straps in my bag are made with a cotton/polyester fabric, I tried to match as closely as possible the deep red in the tapestry.

I made a purse from this same fabric! Very surprised when I saw this pic on pinterest. tgwtws if you're still getting updates on this post, I used a discontinued upholstery fabric sample from Joann's.
