Spring Color Contest

Fresh Tunic

Tunic

Pattern: Ellinor from BurdaStyle
This pattern is also included in Burda WOF magazine 04/2003

Fabric: Cotton with silver metallic thread JoAnns

Woven Ribbon: with gold metallic thread JoAnns
This ribbon was kind of stiff and hard to curve.

Here is how the ribbon was attached to the garment: http://mirelap.wordpress.com/2009/06/06/ellinor-tunic-sneak-peak/.

I think this is a fresh design for Spring.

I teach fashion and sewing at the high school level. When I have a student make or design a garment, I ask them, would you wear it? And I want the reaction from their friends to be, "YOU MADE THAT?" as opposed to "you made that." This tunic certainly fits into the first category. Excellent job for wearability.
