Spring Color Contest

Stripes, Flowers, & Butterflies

This my daughter modeling her new spring outfit constructed using McCall M6007.  I bought this fabric months ago to make this outfit for our vacation in June, but when I saw this contest, I stopped procrastinating & started sewing. I found some adorable heart-shaped buttons to create the flower on the right-hand pocket and appliqued the butterfly on the left-hand pocket (and added buttons for spots as a special touch). Both sets of button-flowers & the butterfly replicate images in the smaller print of fabric. And, for fun, I added some buttons on the sides of the capris, sewn on with fuschia thread. Oh, and of course I had to make a headband to match!

Adorable. My little girl is all grown up and I miss creating outfits like this one. Beautiful look for a beautiful little girl.
