I enjoy making and designing handbags special order. I have collected material in my travels. Curtain fabric inspires me to create my bags with linings and lots of pockets. Originally I wanted to create green bags for shopping but They have become more. I have displayed only one bag but i have many more to display. I photograph my bags before selling.

This is my first blog experience. I hope to share my sewing enjoyment with others and learn from others. Thank you.
That is such a cute bag! She'll always remember and treasure it, especially if she still has it as an adult. Please don't put her name on the outside of the bag. Put her name on the inside of the bag, for her safety.
I absolutely love the bag pattern you created! The fact that you made the straps part of the bag and attached them to the bottom allows the straps to support the weight of the bag and the straps will not tear away from the bag. I love the fabric you chose as well as the contrasting handles.
I really like this with the strong straps. I would like to make it longer strapped (as I am tall and plus sized) and zipper topped, I like more security in my totes. I know how to increase the strap size, but unsure if I could add a zipper to this?

You'd have to put the zipper in before you added the side seams or lining. I saw a tutorial on how to do it once, but I can't remember where. I'm sure you could find it if you really looked around.
