gypsy skirt

I made two of these skirts for a friend and her step daughter. They were fun to make.

Since my friend likes yellow, I bought as many contrasting yellows as I could. But two of them are a little too similar. Instead of gathering the thread by hand, I bought a gathering foot. But either way, the most important thing is getting the ratios and the math right, and even pinning.

It is a lovely skirt. They look like such fun to make. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I will soon. Thank you for posting.

Where did you get the pattern? Was it free?
