This jacket is made of four wools that I felted in the washer and dryer. The skirt is made of wool herringbone tweed (not felted) that was purchased to coordinate with the other wools. The skirt is fully underlined with silk organza using a Hong Kong seam finish. The flounced collar and cuffs feature a crocheted edge completed with variegated wool yarn. Triangular bound buttonholes and vintage buttons provide closure. Randomly meandering twin-needle stitching provides a channel for substantial cording. Hand beading adds a little interest and sparkle.
