Chartreuse & Lilac Reunion dress

The perfect dress!!! It took me quite a long time to figure out what to make for my 10 year high school reunion, but after searching I found the perfect dress. It’s Burda 6/2010 #124. I wanted a chartreuse color with an accent color for the neck. It only took 2 weeks in between working to finish it. After seeing the Givenchy dress with lilac and chartreuse I thought instead of going out and buying stones I could just cover them with fabric and sew them on.

I lined the front and the bottom because it was a little see-thru and wasn’t quite sure what to do with the back neckline per the directions so I just used 2 hook & eyes closures. I couldn’t find matching invisible zipper so I used white since my lining was white. I did for the first time add an invisible zipper with an inseam pocket; a little tricky but I think I was successful.

Everyone loved my dress and so did I. It was soo comfy. The only thing is that it wrinkled easy photos were taken after and the best photo came out blurry :(. I didn’t get a pic of the back because on the dress form it was too small and when I wore it I forgot to get my hubby to get the back.

I paired it with nude Vera Wang pumps (Khols), L.A.M.B. earings, and a bedazzeled skull ring (the one my hubby proposed to me with). Tried to keep it simple fun sexy but elegant.

Really lovely dress! I bet you were a smash at the reunion. What did you use to make the covered 'stones'? Did you sew them on?
