This is a full length, double breasted coat. Altering a Simplicity 2333 pattern, I designed and sewed this for a Steampunk themed masquerade ball that I attended on Oct 1 in Dallas, TX. I sewed and embelished the entire coat, hat band, cravat, and lace cuffs. The top hat and glasses were purchased accessories.

Why do I love this so much? Because it's awesome!!! Fabulous idea :)
I love it!!!!
Incredible! Love this.
Impressive! Love the whole ensemble. Great choices in fabric and details and excellent work.
Great looking outfit...love all those little details that you so carefully incorporated. Very nice job.
This is GREAT!!!
TOP NOTCH! I wish you had included a photo of the whole coat if it is truly full (ankle) length. I imagine the trousers worn with this would be black and have a slight taper toward the cuff. Absolutely WELL DONE!!
@Charbroiled, thanks for the comment! I had to choose only 5 photos for the contest, so I chose to show as much of the details as I could, but yes, it is ankle length and I wore high-waist black pinstripe pants :)
Fab coat, great job!
