I was on a business trip in Korea when I was surprised to come across fortuny inspired satin. I never quite knew what to do with it, until I found an old beaded jacket at a goodwill store that was falling apart and inspiration hit me. With the help of my dress form, I created this one shoulder design by draping the fabric on the bias and finishing the neck and armhole with the recycled beading.
The purse design came from a threads magazine and a plethora of scraps from my mom’s house. The shawl is created from silk chiffon and satin, with trim from the recycled jacket.
