I made this skirt using Burdastyle godet skirt pattern from the August 2012 issue. I made some changes by lining the entire skirt and adding a godet stay. The skirt was finished using couture sewing techniques, which I describe in detail on my blog, Frabjous Couture

The skirt shape is controlled by a powernet wedge which is mounted behind the godet piece, on the inside.
Faced waistband: the waistband is faced with silk charmeuse, resulting in less bulk and softer finish on the inside
the skirt is underlined with china silk, to add body and drapiness.
