I have had a pattern for a Balenciaga top coat that I have been dying to use. Balenciaga is one of my favorite designers and this loose fitting top coat is perfect for summer evenings. I stitched up the original pattern and projected image onto it. I next traced the lines of the image onto the garment. I’ve been cut the garment apart along the new lines are drawn on from the image and created a new pattern from the cut pieces. I stitched it back together in various wool remnants. I catch stitched the seam allowances down and built the button holes into some of the seam work.

I love this coat, you did a great job. I would have never thought to use a projected image on it to make the pattern, very creative and it turned out absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful coat.
Thanks guys... The projector is one of my fav pattern making tools... I wasn't the first to use this technique, just had fun trying it out!
I love it! So stylish and unique!
