This is my new favorite fall jacket! Made of one canabalized dress, very out of fashion, and various scrap. I sliced my jacket pattern vertically and pieced the fabric together front and back, right side togther, then turned right side out and top stitched finished into the individual vertical panels, encorporating the darts into princess seams. I hand sewed, whipstitch, with embroidery floss, the vertical panels together to form a completely reversable jacket. I come from a long line of quilters. I do not quilt but think I may have inhertited the gene that causes the need to combine patterns! This cost me nothing but 4 tiny skiens of black floss since all I had to do was dig through my closet and favorite scrap.
