Vogue 7975 – French Jacket

My “french” jacket using Susan Khalje’s techniques and constructed mostly in her 5 day class.  I used Vogue 7975, turning the 2 piece sleeve into 3 piece.  After completing a muslin, fitting and carefully cutting out, came the hours and hours of hand sewing and some machine sewing that was needed to construct this jacket.  The pattern was nicely drafted and using Susan Khalje’s techniques this jacket turned out beautiful.  The lining is silk charmuese and the outter is a wool boucle. Probably the most difficult part of this jacket was locating trim (although I’m not 100% satisfied with what I ended up with), and matching the plaids.

What a great job! One question - did you underlined the jacket? or you have only fashion fabric and lining?
