In support of our local Susan G Koman Breast Cancer 3 Day walk, my significant other, his family and friends dress up and cheer on the walkers as they pass by. For each of the three days they do two costume changes. For the finale on the last day they are doing The Wizard of Oz. Therefore, I made a Cowardly Lion costume but in a pinked out version. This is the costume he has chosen he will also wear for his Halloween work party and to pass out candy for the trick-or-treaters.

I made the body suit in a bubble gum pink soft velvety fabric. The belly and paws are a lighter shade of pink in a minky fabric, and the head, collar, feet and end of the tail are a fushia faux fur. I made the tail a bit longer so he can move it easily and drape it over his shoulder as the Cowardly Lion does in the movie. I also added pockets because every male lion needs a place to keep his keys and wallet.

This was a super fun costume to make and he is such a ham that he will play his part well!
