Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year and it’s been a tradition of mine to make my costume every year. My inspiration for the Prestigious Peacock came from a Gucci jacket I saw in a magazine for Fall 2013 that was adorned with peacock feathers and beading. To create my costume, I used a commercial pattern for the corset top, but the skirt and collar I made from my own drafted patterns. This was my first time sewing a garment with feathers and it has become my favorite adornment to add an interesting element to clothing.
