Halloween Costume Contest 2013

Enchanted “Giselle”

I have always adored the huge dress Amy Adams wore in Enchanted. My daughter wanted to be a bride this year so I figured I would go for it. It took me about 60 hours and about 30 yards of fabric. I made the patterns myself. She is wearing a 90 inch hoop skirt under the dress. The dress has 2 parts the underskirt with vertical ruffles compromised of 4 different fabrics Glitter Tulle and 3 different types of pearlarized Organzas. I cut a million cirles and wedged them between organza strips then they were gathered. The top dress is white satin. Then I glued glutter, rhinestones and other frill to the bodice. Finally I embroidered 3 different size 3D flowers on organza which adorn the waist. She wore it to school and for Trick or treat. Needless to say the dress is now black!!! Fun project.
