The moment I saw the cover of Threads March 2014 issue I wanted to try the ribbon weaving technique by Gail Yellen. I used a linen blend fabric from my stash that made it easy to remove strings and create channels in the fabric for the embellishment. After many trials, I decided on dyed silk ribbon from MJ Trims and beads from my stash. I am pleased with the results but the “journey” was the most enjoyable part for me.

The silk ribbon gives lovely soft colour highlights and the beads make the trim good choice, well done.
