I found the fabric for this tunic at the thrift store over the summer, it is two way stretch polyester. The pattern is Simplicity 5359 from 1972, another thrift store find. I used a heavier fusible interfacing in the collar than the pattern called for because I wanted to make sure it would stay up. The pattern is intended to have a cuffed collar with a light interfacing and worn folded over. I will wear it both ways I am sure. The tunic has darts at the shoulders, bust and elbows with a slightly tapered sleeve. I like the versaltility of being able to wear it belted or unbelted for a different look, with the collar up or down. I am most pleased with how neatly my invisible zpper went in and the collar. Overall I am pleased and will definitely be wearing this a lot this fall.
