My DIY Maxi Wrap dress was made using Vogue pattern V8379. I purchased the fabric for $7.99/yard with 4 yards. I added 22″ to the bottom hem of the dress pattern. I maintained the fullness of the skirt. Hindsight I should have purchased 6 yards of fabric to make the fabric stretch further (I had to do a lot of manipulation of the design pattern in the top and bottom to make it look cohesive). For this pattern in the future, I will be making the sleeve 3/4″…this was my original plan…but I did not have enough fabric.
