I wanted to make a tomato pin cushion costume that could be worn again so I started with a really full gathered skirt and added accessories! I made the leaf belt and fake pins. The shirt was store bought, but I dyed it to closer match the skirt. I used a piece of bias binding from the belt as a head band and wore a tutu under the skirt to finish off the look!
