SewStylish Spring Fashion Challenge 2017

Reversible scuba knit maxi dress

Floral side of reversible spring dress

I adapted Butterick pattern 6330 to create a reversible spring sleeveless maxi dress to accommodate a double sided scuba knit I found at the local Fabricville shop. I consulted the article in Threads # 187, for tips in sewing scuba knits and successfully followed the advice for needle and stitch settings. I stitches the dress as instructed by the pattern using the floral side as the “outside”, finishing the visible seams on the geometric side by turning under the edges and top stitching down both sides of the seam. The neck ,arm openings , and hem edges were all double rolled to geometric side and stitched down as a decorative accent. Love wearing it with my jean jacket!
