This week we’re taking a look at Val’s sewing room in Canada.
I have an Alterations studio in my home, have been sewing for over 33 years now and only earlier this year I rebranded into Bridal alterations only. I was born in Belarus and that’s where I learned the trade and never thought it would come handy after moving to Canada.
Love working with challenging pieces, and seeing brides on a daily basis brings me joy!
A few years ago I have added bridal accessories to my business and opened an online store @Brides and Belts selling bridal belts and hair pieces and veils.
With over 300 choices, every bride can find a piece that compliments her dress beautifully and finishes the bridal look !
Dreaming of getting an industrial sewing machine, when a bigger space allows but at the moment i am very happy with by Juki TL 2010Q straight stitch machine, Bernina B550, Janome CoverPro 1000CP and Juki MO-735 serger.
If there is one appliance I can’t live without, it is my Reliable 4000IS Steamer-Iron. Any sewing I do, makes it look so good and professional!
I am very happy that my hobby turned into business and love seeing brides at the happiest moments of their lives. Its a blessing!
Congratulations to Val on her beautiful sewing room and her bridal alteration business! We wish her all the best of luck in the future.
