I love to make corsets, mostly renaissance. We had tickets for Halloween night to a play of Dracula. I thought it would be fun to go in costume. So I made my idea of a victorian corset, skirt and off the shoulder blouse. I had hoped there would be more than just 3 of us in costume. But the play was incredible and I had a lot of fun walking around the downtown area dressed up. The corset is done in a burgandy brocade, with a black satin lining and band. Instead of steele boning i used plastic cable zip ties. This was suggested in one of the corset books i read up on. This may have been my first victorian version, but I have made and sold 12 of the Renaissance so far. I even take custom request for the embroidery on the center panel other then just the inital as shown in the picture above.
