Anybody know where I can find a pattern to make a summer linen jacket for men?

I have two boys and a husband. finding patterns for them has always been a challenge. The best I've found are in the Burda and Vogue pattern line. When I made a linen jacket for my hubby I used a suit jacket pattern and used a lightweight fusible interfacing on the facings and upper part of the chest only to keep the the softness of the linen intact. I extended the facing to the armholes also. I left it unlined and bound all the seam allowances with bias binding made from light lining fabric. For the second jacket I made a half-lining which is a lining for just the upper part of the jacket. I believe that Threads had an article about that a while ago. The visible seam allowances were also bound with bias binding. The same principles used for a half-lining for a womans jacket can be applied for a softly tailored men's jacket. PS. If you ever want to make a shirt for a man, get David Page Coffin's Shirtmaking, published by Threads. It is one of the best sewing books ever written! It would be sooo nice if he would make a second book on men's jackets and coats! (This is a hint if he reads these ppostings!)
I'll be sure to forward your message to David, Lin327. David's actually a casual dresser, and I suspect would like to come up with a book on "jacket alternatives"--something that I think would be wonderful for women and men.

I know I would buy the book! In a second!
