ty for your concern ..Linda
We live in a Canadian city that has a number of large hospitals. For the past several years, I have offered to do charitable sewing projects to be donated to the hospitals. My thought was that I could make preemie clothes, wheelchair caddies, etc. with leftover scraps from other projects. I contacted a number of individuals, offices, etc. Shockingly, NO ONE wanted my help. I finally gave up in frustration, and gave five garbage bags full of fabric away yesterday (I almost had to throw them out, because we couldn't find anyone to take it!).
I am saddened that no hospital could see the value of giving away free items to those in need. If any of you could make use of my services (seniors' homes? mental health facilities?), please contact me. Since this city isn't interested, I'm happy to ship elsewhere. You pay for for the postage, I'll make the goodies.
Thank you so much but no thanks...perhaps the girl scout or local schools could use this..I know that some churches through Bernina stores have a mission that takes fabric for missionay work overseas..you may want to contact them...Thanks so much for thinking of me..Linda
