My daughter wants to start showing her horse and needs a nice outfit. I’m new to all of this and don’t know what the standards are in this area. She wants a “fancy” vest to wear, but we haven’t found anything beyond gaudy western shirts in the area. I think I’m just going to have to give in and attempt to make her one myself. Does anyone know where to find a pattern to use? Is anyone familiar with doing this type of stuff? Do you think it’s to much for me to handle? I mostly quilt and make and occasional skirt or pair of shorts. How hard can it be to make a vest. Help me please!

*I am sure that if you want to hard enough you can get this vest made for your daughter. Her trainer will give you some instructions on how it should fit. Vests are really very simple. It sounds like you already know that you can do this but are looking for some reassurance. Go for it girl. And then come back and tell us about it.
