Does anyone know where I could order inexpensive (under $8.00/yard) lightweight natural linen? I would like to experiment with dying and plan to make up some Park Bench and Pavelka patterns. I like the Flax clothing line look but can’t afford $100 dresses. I would be interested in either a whole bolt of natural or maybe smaller amounts of inexpensive colors. Any help will be appreciated.

Try http://www.fabricclub.com or http://www.fabricsdirect.com. Both carry linen, but don't really indicate what garment weight type the fabric is. You might also try Dharma Trading and other purveyors of dyes and dyeing supplies. (Last time I checked out Dharma, they carried hemp fabric, but not linen.) But there must be other companies that sell white fabric for dyeing ...
*Sorry, that's http://www.fabricdirect.com -- fabricsdirect takes you to a different store ...)
