Leather/suede scraps

Jillian | Posted in The Archives on

I have gained access to a bunch of smooth leather and suede scraps. Some are heavy and some are nice and soft. Please tell me your suggestions on what I might be able to use these for. There ought to be a market for these somewhere so I could make items to sell. I just don’t know what items to make. I also have some treasured scraps of Ultrasuede[R]. Thanks for your ideas.

Use them for embellishments on bags, vests, belts, etc. ala Shirley Adams' Sewing Connection.

*Thanks, but I am embellished out. I have already done a lot of embellishing. What I am asking for is what whole items, other than garments or embellishing garments, could I be making with these scraps?

*slippers, clutch purses, moccasins, eyeglass cases, barbie doll clothes and accessories, doll house furniture, bookmarks, jewelry, flowers, ............ ??

*Here's one more idea for you Jillian, what about "shapes" (globe, triangle, crescent moon, star, cube, etc.) stuffed w/cotton or foam or?, for a mobile, w/these being detachable as tactile toys for infants?
