machine embroidery

I enjoy machine embroidery but have recently bought an Elna computerised sewing machine – I find now that I cannot do any free embroidery because I cannot set the stitch size to 0. Can anyone give me any hints as to how to overcome this problem

Why not? All you have to do is DROP THE FEED DOGS, it doesn't matter what the stitch length is. [Some sewing machines reguire that the feed dogs be covered with the plate that has been provided in the accessary box.]

I'm sure you are thinking, "DUH, Why didn't I think of that before?" But that's OK, learn something everyday. I suggest that you sit down with your machine and try out all the things you can make your machine do other than the standard things.

Happy Sewing to you. Enjoy your new machine.
