Hey, I purchased a Simplicity Pattern for a dress and was delighted at the information I found while reading the instruction sheets last night. I haven’t been buying clothes patterns for myself in a long time, and it was very informational and enlightening. Thanks for the learning curve. We are never to old to learn. How long has this been going on.

I am glad you found the directions to be informative. I have been reading some "threads" that fault the direction sheets as being almost useless. I have always found in the past that if I followed the directions step by step everything would come out as it was supposed to. When I would jump ahead because I already "knew" what was coming I would get into a lot of unnecessary trouble and end up ripping. Much of the new information must be coming from the industry sewing techniques because they seem to be designed for quick and easy construction. Most of it I find welcome. I enjoy learning these new ways of doing things.
The information on how to tell your bust cup size was enlightening. I'm sure there were those out there that knew how to determine it, but I never did. I know I have one blouse pattern from the Project Runway patterns. I'm looking forward to making it.
The information I found was not in a topic in our Threads Gatherings forum, it was printed in the instruction sheet of a Simplicity pattern I recently purchased.
