skirt vents

Does anybody know of where I can find information on lining a skirt with a vent (not a slit). I have Easy Guide to Sewing Linings but was unable to follow the instructions on attaching the left lining vent to the garment vent. Is Easy Guide to Sewing Skirts better?

Thanks.

Hi, Sarah T! I tried to write to you yesterday from work, but my employer's system has a firewall. I hope I can help.

It is interesting that the Easy Guide to Sewing Linings does not include information on lining a skirt with a kick pleat, slit, or French vent. How much more basic can ya get!? Almost every skirt has one or the other of these openings for ease of walking and design, and so do many jackets.

I have a copy of Easy Guide to Sewing Skirts. If you can get a copy, look at Pg. 36 and Pages 70-73. If you cannot readily get a copy, please let me know. I can scan it in and email it to you or photocopy and mail it to you. Let me know.
