Flounce Scarf and Vogue Shrug
The scarf formed the focus of my Easter outfit, and then became the silent star for a Vogue shrug. The scarf's flounce pattern was exactly the right size as drafted to produce the stand-up organza frill at the neck of the shrug. In the absence of a serger, I used a narrow hem foot to overcast the scarf hem once, and the organza hem twice. The brocade fabric lent itself to a little button-cover engineering.
