My elderly mother has been stuck in a wheelchair since a stroke a year ago. She is an avid reader and likes to carry a paperback book, her cell phone, tissues, and spare change in an easily-accessible side carrier hooked on to her arm rest. I want to make something that is really useful and pretty to take with me when I go to visit in October. I do not have measurements but am expecting to use some sort of big button-on fastening because she has a hard time with velcro. Any patterns out there or suggestions?
