Book Reviews

gwoman | Posted in Feedback on Threads on

I miss the review of new books that was once a regular feature of the magazine.  I purchased the Art of Manipulating Fabric as a result of the column as well as borrowed a book on Vionnet from the library.   Since some of the items featured there were published by very small or independent publishers,  they were not reviewed in mainstream media.

Yes, reviews of good books on sewing or fashion are great.  It would be great to hear of any especially good DVD/video realating to sewing.

I enjoyed the video, Fine Sewing, by Roberta Carr.  Among other instructions, it provided clear information on how to use the gadget that folds binding and how to apply the binding to curved areas.
