Does anyone know where I can get a fitted cowboy boot cover?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

Are you actually making them for a cowboy, or is this for a costume?
Hi,
It is for a client of mine. I am making a cheerleading costume for her and she wants the boot covers like the Cowboy cheerleaders. I have not done boot covers before so I would greatly appreciate any help. Especially a good pattern if there is one.
Thank you for answering me.

I don't know if there are patterns for such a thing, but it shouldn't be too difficult to draw one up. It would need two parts - the stovepipe top connected to the shoe cover lower part. I would wrap a piece of stash fabric around the lower part of the shoe and trace off with the seam in the back. It will take a little bit of cutting and clipping to get it to lay flat over the show. It will be a v shaped piece. The top will be rectangular. Sew the top to the bottom at the ankle and close with velcro either down the back or on the inseam. It may take a couple of attempts, but I'll bet you could do it!
Thank you so much I put your instructions to good use.
Thanks for taking the time to write me.

The Wild Things site (from Wild Ginger) has a boot-style slipper that could be easily adapted to a boot cover. It's a free download.
I don't know if it will help, but if you try using the term "spats" in your search for patterns, you might have more luck in finding something. It may give you something for the bottom part of your boot cover anyhow. Cathy
Here's a source to buy them if you don't want to make them. (I'm not affiliated with the source.)http://www.costumecraze.com/ACC59.html
