I just read another site which basically says Brother and Babylock are the same machine –that the Elegante is the same machine as the Brother Innovis 4000 so I am wondering ???? Does this mean if I don’t want Disney designs, I need to stick with the Babylock Elegante? Also, you can’t purchase the Brother Innovis 4000 in the states without the Disney designs? That’s sorta not fair-you’re forced to get the Disney designs if you don’t want them but if you get the Elegante, you get Nancy Zieman designs. Guess I need to spend another day between the two dealers.

I just bought the Ellegante II which has all Nancy Zeiman bells and whistles. I'm not that interested in Disney designs so it didn't matter to me. I believe the 2 machines are the same though.
Does the Elegante II come with the continuous hoop or is it available for the Babylock? I saw it at the Brother dealer and am really interested in it. I talked to another Babylock dealer yesterday (not in person) and will go see her after the 16th because I wasn't too thrilled with the dealer in Macon (Ga.). She had demos available and I still have questions about the machine. She quoted me a price of $4295 for a new one and her demos are $3795 and $3995 but they do not have the current upgrades installed and I think she said there are 2 upgrades to be installed. Did you get your upgrade when you purchased or are you having to pay additionally for it?? Just got my new copy of Nancy's Notions and she's advertising a limited signature edition of the Ellegante 2 with DVD and all kinds of designs from her (only 800 of these available). Did you get this deal? The woman I talked with yesterday said something about 800 and she thought they were all gone and I didn't know what she was talking about. Must be something in addition to the Nancy Zieman designs that comes with the machine. I know it has the same automatic threading as the Brother Innovis-just not able to wind a bobbin separately but then I use mostly prewound bobbins anyway. One of these days, I'll make up my mind - my daughter just keeps saying "Go get the Brother" because she is partial to it and liked the dealer better too.
Yes, it's the new one with her signature on the machine and new designs. It's not what was advertised in the deal, but the store I purchased from didn't have any machines and when the order came in, that's what they sent so I got it for the advertised price of the Ellegante I! I also use prewound bobbins.
It did not come with the continuous hoop.
