“Beyond the Pattern, Great Sewing Techniques for Clothing” from Threads is a must read. It is old – 1995, but it’s clarity will help you understand how so many things are done it is timeless. I also understand how machines work and exactly how a stitch should look. Best photos of serger stitches I have seen. I checked it out from the library, and hope to find one for sale somewhere.
