loosely knitted ribbed sweater knit

hi,  i made two turtle necks from a loosely knitted ribbed sweater knit. i wanted to know if anyone had any idea’s about how i would hem it. i do have a new serger that’s never been used yet. i wanted to have a professional looking hem, not bulky then my usaul method on hemming knits. thanks!

    It probably depends on how sophisticated your serger is, but I would serge the edge with a 3-thread overlock stitch, turn it up about 3/4 inch, and then stitch it on the outside using the sewing machine with a wide-set twin needle. This gives double row of stitching often found on RTW, with some stretch built in.
