Looking for beginner friendly sewing machine

Hi,
I have always wanted to get a sewing machine. What would you recommend for a complete beginner?
I saw some great options reviewed on this site and I am leaning towards Brother CS6000i.
My budget is $150-$200 – which machine do you recommend?
Ideally something that is not too difficult to learn so I can start my projects immediately.

While the brand and model selected are good choices, visit a few sewing machine dealers to see what they have in the way of beginner machines as well as lessons.
