Man’s cloak pattern

SueProffitt | Posted in Patterns on

Hi

I’m new to the gatherings forum and I wondered if anyone could help me with a pattern sourcing problem.

A flamboyant male friend would love to own a cloak and I want to make one for him for a ‘big’ birthday. I’ve found the ‘Folkwear Kinsale Cloak’ but it’s a bit feminine. Anyone know of any other good available patterns??

Thanking you all in anticipation . . . .

Suze

Check the costume section of any pattern company. You'll have to visualize things like Batman's cape made of very different fabric and work out different embellishments. There are historical patterns if you want a more elaborate garment.

    Check out this website:  http://www.costumes.org/advice/1pages/pattern_links.htm

and there links to PDF instructions if you scroll down a bit
