need help – dress sloper to suit sloper

Jameson4 | Posted in Patterns on

Hi,

I’ve misplaced my Armstrong patternmaking book just when I need it.  I’m trying to make my torso sloper into a suit sloper.  Can anyone tell me the amounts I have to add and where to enlarge the torso and the sleeve?

I seem to remember that you go in 1/4″ and up 1/4″ at the neckline.  How much do you add at the side seams?

I need the same information for making the dress sleeve into a suit sleeve.

Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

I was just looking at the subject lists and realized that no one had answered your question. Do you still need help or did you find your book/figure it out? I have a copy of the Armstrong book, so if you're using that technique, I can have a look for you.

    Sandy
