New to sewing! Would like to make something similar to Dessy 2780

eima | Posted in Patterns on

Hi everyone!

I’m quite new to sewing, although I have made a couple of dresses which are wearable (just!)  I am getting married next year and would love to make a dress similar to Dessy 2780 for my bridesmaids, although I can’t find a suitable pattern that doesn’t need adjusting.  Can anyone suggest any patterns that I might be able to try?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi

take a look at vogue 8020.  Use stiffer underling

Make a trial version in cotton to check fit and design

You can also  buy patterns showing how to make the fabric flowers.

ebay is great for vintage and out of print patterns

    Good luck
