Off grain fabric

SewNancy | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Lately I have found that almost all of my cottons are off grain, especially the stretch wovens. I straighten the ends and they never are square. I then pull them on the bias, even having my husband pull one corner. I can never get them to straighten. Has anyone else had this problem and do you have a solution?
Nancy

Also, does anyone know how to reset the size of the type on these replys?

Hi Nancy, To adjust the text size scroll down below this message and there should be a box displaying text size. Click on it and increase the number to increase the size of the fonts.

Regarding your question on straightening off grain cottons, one thing I have found that works after I have preshrunk my fabric I work with slightly dampened fabric when pulling on the bias. Good luck Karen

Thanks to both, but how do I enlarge the font on the messages that I post? I can't find anything that allows me to enlarge it.

Nancy, you must be in basic mode, switch to Advanced mode and you will get heading choices of Font, Sizes and Colors.
