ordering fabrics online

fuscia | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I am a graphic designer in the process of researching prototypes for t-shirts I plan to have silkscreened with my designs and sell to merchandisers. I am looking for a high-quality, clingy/stretchy fabric and t-shirts that will fit tall females (5’10”) with long arms and broad shoulders.

I’ve contacted several fabric manufacturers over the internet for pricing, catalogues, etc. and they requested specific details such as “2 or 3 threads Fleece- Interlock, etc.”. Which specifics should I provide them with in order to receive a product which meets my expectations? Also, how do I specify size when I’m buying from Asia for North American women?

Any suggestions are appreciated! I’m new to this.

I didn't think I was the only one having problems finding shirt sleeves that reach my wrists. Thanks for your comment, Meg. I may have to visit a fabric store to get the specifics.
