There is alot of computer drafting software out now. Some is good and some is not. I am having a very bad experience with a package called “Fashion Cad” from CadCam Solutions. I bought a program and the software sent was faulty. I am taking then to court to try and get my money back. The tutorials supplied were also of very poor quality, so even if it did work, it would have been very difficult for the un technically trained to master.
I would like to see comments from others who have used various packages, good comments and bad about the programs themselves and the companies they have dealt with.

I have Symmetry's Custom Shop pattern-making software from Wild Ginger. Symmetry designs both CAD programs for people with pattern-making skills, and also for those that don't have pattern-making skills. They also have the higher-end type of programs for industry and manufacturers.
It's a wonderful company, they know what they're doing, help is always just a phone call away. I can't say enough good things about them. They also have an e-mail list which you can subscribe to share with others who have purchased Symmetry products. *Ditto on the Custom Shop from Wild Ginger. It allows me to pick and chose the parts and pieces that I want, and I also have their Symmetry software that lets me redraw and customize. Customer service is wonderful!

*OOOOOOHHHHI am getting very worried here.I just bought the upgrade to Livingsofts 2.5dressshop, and i have the original and the2.0, and so far nothing is working.
