PROBLEMS WITH BERNINA 180E

I HAVE A BERNINA 180E THAT HAS BEEN CONSTANT
TROUBLE. THE FACTORY GAVE ME A NEW MACHINE BUT
IT IS JUST AS BAD. IT REFUSES TO HOLD TENSION
OR STITCH PROPERLY. THE VIKING I TRADED IN WAS
TOTALLY RELIABLE. ANYBODY ELSE HAVING TROUBLE
WITH THEIR BERNINA?

Yes, I have had trouble with my 180E too. It tends to drop stitches periodically, usually while topstitching. I thought it was the thick fabrics I was working with, but this week it dropped stitches on a lightweight cotton collar. I have not taken it back to the dealer yet. I did once before and he thought I needed a new Bernina needle, I had been using a Singer needle (old supply).
